I Think I'm Rooting for the Cavs...I guess

This decision has not been an easy one. I put it off for as long as I could, but now that game 1 is in the books I need to man up and choose a side. As much as I despise Lebron James, (99% because of his whiny on court antics and cheesy off court personality - and the fact that I just know that he wouldn't be a cool person to hang out with), game respects game and from one baller to another - Bron has game. My hatred for Lebron is why I wouldn't want the Cavs to win if they were playing pretty much anyone else in the world except for the Spurs or Warriors. (I wont go down the rabbit hole of why I hate "Pop" and his Euroleague all star team, I'll save that rant for next season after Pop drafts some bizarre foreigner to run the point.) Hating Lebron is one thing, but the media's nauseating fixation with the "splash brothers" and Warriors this season is a complete other. I'll admit I wanted them to win 73, and I'll admit that when they fire on all cylinders and play their best its like seeing Michaelangelo's "David" for the first time. But this country's obsession with them has me ready to rip off my ears and gouge out my eye balls. I get it, to an extent, they are all high character guys led by baby face Steph, but enough is enough. Maybe its repressed teenage angst, but their widespread popularity has caused me to hate them. I want to see the rebels take down the establishment. I want NBA anarchy, I want those 73 wins to be meaningless in July, and I want JR Smith to be Finals MVP. I never thought Lebron, with a fully healthy compliment of teammates, would be an underdog...ever. But this is reality and my hands are tied. Go Cavs, I guess.

The Cavs also have a realistic chance of getting swept.
