People Who Buy '12th Man' Jerseys are the Real Problem with This Country

In the wake of Donald Trump's recent Presidential victory, Americans have been rioting, talking deportation, and considering emigration, but whether you're blue or red, I think we can all agree that the real problem with our nation are the people who continue to buy Seattle Seahawks "12th Man" jerseys. Pete Carroll has built the most unlikable franchise in professional sports since taking over the Seattle head coaching gig in 2010. From the insufferable Pete Carroll to Richard Sherman and their loud mouth defense to choir boy Russell Wilson and their low scoring offense, the Seahwawks are almost too easy to hate. But the worst part of the entire Seahawks franchise is their new money fans. It seems like overnight Seattle gained droves of, self-proclaimed, raucous and rowdy supporters, but anyone who's been following the NFL knows these coffee sipping hippies smelled success and merely jumped on the bandwagon. But what makes Seattle's fans so uniquely loathsome is how they view themselves. They've deemed themselves the "12th Man," a term that they ripped off from Texas A&M (and this is a fact - they pay A&M a royalty every year to use the term), and raise a flag with the number 12 on it before every game. What kills me about these people is that they go to the game for the wrong reasons. At the end of the day, I don't think Seattle fans actually care about the outcome of the game as long as they get credit for being suuuuper loud and craaaaazy. They actually think that the Seahawks game is about them rather than the team. It's this utter selfishness and belief that they're the best fans in the world that makes them so unbearable. But wait, there's actually more. Beginning a few years ago, the Seahawks began selling 12th Man jerseys for fans. A jersey with the number 12 and the word 'Man' where a player's name should be. This is the most JV amateur hour move in the history of sports. It is literally proof that these people aren't genuine fans of the team. They are actually repping themselves instead of a player in the absolute lamest way conceivable. I'm shaking with fury as I type this because it is the most absurd thing I've ever seen. When I first saw the 12th man jersey it was via snapchat and I assumed it was just one loser fan who customized his jersey...but I was wrong. Over the past few years, the 12th Man jersey has regularly ranked in the top 10 of NFL jersey sales. I don't put too much stake in NFL jersey sales numbers, because if you know what you're doing you get them discounted from China, but the stat is telling. I just don't understand why you wouldn't just get a player's jersey. How can you possibly expect to be taken seriously wearing a 12th man jersey? You're pretty much broadcasting that you're not a real fan and just jumped on the bandwagon because you think being part of a 'crazy' fan base is cool and gives you purpose - it's so unbelievably pathetic. These 'fans' are undermining the very essence of football, the NFL, and our great nation. Following Tuesday night's election results, this country is as polarized as ever, but to overcome this adversity we must come together and unite for a common cause, and I wholeheartedly believe that deporting these people from the United States will achieve this goal. No matter what your race, religion, or political affiliation, we all hate 12th man jerseys, so now, my brothers and sisters, I ask all of you to do it in solidarity, for the future of our country

These people must go
